For those interested in membership, the requirements to apply for membership include:

• attending three meetings
• staying one weekend at the Lodge
• skiing with a Board Member
• contributing to a club service
• written application including signatures of sponsoring members

When an opening occurs and the applicant’s name is next on the waiting list the Board will meet with the applicant and then vote on whether to extend a membership.

If an applicant is voted into membership, continuing membership is based on active participation, which includes attending meetings, participating in a significant activity and serving on a committee during the first two years of membership. At least 85% of members must reside in Putnam County and Westchester County, New York; Fairfield County, Connecticut; and the New Haven County, Connecticut towns of Ansonia, Derby, Milford, Orange, Oxford, Seymour, Southbury and Woodbridge. Those residing outside the ‘core’ area must not exceed 15%.

At the time annual dues are charged, each adult member will be billed $100 for prepaid vouchers that may be used for any club activity with an expiration date through Thursday, December 17, 2009. A voucher is transferable only within a family.

Meetings

Meetings are held in Connectcut, at 8 p.m. on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of most months during the ski season, at the Norwalk Boat Club 9 Wall St., Norwalk.

From I-95 North: Take Exit 15 US-7 N toward Norwalk/Danbury. Take Exit 1 toward Norwalk. Turn Right onto Belden Ave (US-1). Turn Left onto Wall St.

From I-95 South: Take Exit 16 toward East Norwalk. Take the ramp toward US-1. Turn slight Right onto East Ave. Turn Left onto E Wall St.
